"I grew up highly involved in athletics, playing everything from soccer, to volleyball, to lacrosse; inevitably picked soccer as my sport playing up to a semi-professional level... Fitness has been the essence of my life. I graduated from University of Delaware in 2012; was a Division 1 Scholar athlete playing soccer, graduating with a Bachelors in Health Behavior Science and double minored in Strength & Conditioning, and Psychology. After college, I found a new love for endurance sports and currently a 4x Ironman Triathlete; so when not in the box you can catch me swimming, biking, and running.

CrossFit made its way into my life towards the end of 2018 and inevitably obtained my CF L-1 a few short months after. Though I am no stranger to being a “coach”, CrossFit has allowed me to fall in love all over again with the idea of functional fitness and being able to push limits on a daily basis. The principle is competing against yourself - It’s about self improvement, about being better than you were the day before.

I strive to be the athlete and coach that goes all in and take advantage of every moment provided to me. It is my intention, as a coach, to provide the resources to my athletes that will allow them to recognize their boundaries and how to surpass them, not just inside the gym but outside as well. "

Tyler Brown

  • USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach
  • American Open Series Participant
  • Olympic Weightlifting/CrossFit competitor

Tyler has always enjoyed competing and has been involved with a multitude of sports, from youth basketball, to varsity tennis in high school, and even a semester of rugby during college. After finishing college, she was looking for a way to stay active and eventually found CrossFit. In particular, Tyler enjoyed the barbell movements and the technicality of the Olympic Lifts, and decided to study them more closely. This eventually resulted in her entering her first local Olympic Weightlifting competition in December 2016, where she was able to place 1st in her weight class. Since then, Tyler has gone on to compete in over 5 Olympic Weightlifting meets over a 2 year period, including the American Open Series 2, part of a series of competitions hosted by USA Weightlifting (USAW) that are held annually and attract weightlifters from across the country. She obtained her USAW Level 1 coaching certification in July 2017, and is dedicated to helping members of all levels improve their proficiency in the Olympic Lifts.
